About our rates...
The Idyll Mouse is a totally different house than any in Indian Creek. We
found a house with a huge yard, fireworks view, and super location, and then
redid it to our specs; like bamboo floors and fireplace, which absolutely no
one in the area has. We spent more on the living room sofas than many people
do in furnishings their entire houses here in Indian Creek. We have featherbeds,
Italian sheets and towels, robes, and all sorts of real, wonderful art.
Some pieces retired from Disney Parks and Resorts, as well as 19th century
hand colored engravings and also original oil paintings from nationally
recognized artists, etc. And we take super care of the house; paying for
duct cleaning, keeping maintenance up, paying extra for the best managers and
cleaners so the house stays immaculate, etc. We have vacation houses in
different parts of the country, and cater to folks who are used to extremely
high standards. Once people discover us, they keep coming back. For example,
we have two different families that will be staying with us here at The Idyll
Mouse three times in a twelve month period. But the house is not for
everybody, and we know that; just like Marriott has everything from Fairfield
Inns to Residence Inns to Ritz Cartons in its chain. All are very nice, but
not geared for the same groups (and we have stayed at all three of those brands
depending on what need and purpose is at the time). And when one compares what
one pays for a single room at the Grand Floridian for example, most of our guests
think this house is really really well priced. It costs about the same for our
entire house with private pool and spa as a single non-concierge level room at
the Grand Floridian. And one gets not a single room, but an entire house instead.
This is a direct quotation from one of our guests this past August,
"5 Star Rental accommodations. This house was by far the most pleasant, CLEAN, user
friendly home we have come across to date. As designer or 'Art Director' for
an upscale quarterly magazine, I get to see a lot of homes all over the
world. Most of the homes that we showcase are for sale, not for rent. But if
there is ever a slot for a 'how to' set up rental properties, this home
